Royal Thurso Hotel, Thurso

I had a bit of difficulty finding my room initially, but once settled, I found it tiny with some maintenance issues like low water pressure in the shower and black mold on the window panes. The noise from the street disturbed me until late at night, and the manager was not very pleasant to deal with. On the bright side, the hotel is in a convenient location and offers basic amenities.

The hotel is quite central and easily accessible to John O Groats and other locations. The rooms are a little dated but very clean and comfortable, and the staff is welcoming and friendly. The dining experience includes a generous continental breakfast for an extra £10 per person. Parkin is easy to find, although limited, in a safe enough area.
